Aug 18: Late Harvest wins Best-in-Show!
Our La Crescent Late Harvest just won the Best in Show White Wine award at the International Cold Climate Wine Competition in Minnesota. The wine is a rich, sweet wine made from our La Crescent grapes, and it's a delicious accompaniment to an aged cheese or a dessert.
This is the 3rd year in a row we've won a Best in Show award at this competition, the only one that focuses exclusively on cold-climate wines. We're honored by the recognition.

This is real Vermont wine from a real Vermont place. See the photo at the top of the page? That's where we get our grapes: we grow them! When you taste our wine, you're tasting the flavors of this place. We're the largest grape producer in the state of Vermont, and we're the only winery in America to win three Best of Show awards (in '09, '10, and '11) at the International Cold Climate Wine Competition.
We have a hilltop of good Vermont land just outside Middlebury; short, hot summers and cool, sunny autumns; a dedicated farm crew to tend the vines; meticulous devotion to the best winemaking techniques-- put it all together and what you get are some of the most refined and delicious Vermont wines from a new and emerging winegrowing region.
At our Vermont winery, we make crisp refreshing whites; deep full-bodied reds, light and joyful rosés; and some sweet and fruity wines, too.
You are invited to visit this Vermont winery, take a walk through the vineyards, bring a picnic, stop in our cozy tasting room, learn about our story from the friendly staff, and of course, taste the Vermont wines.
